CAITLIN WILSON

My name is Caitlin, I am a 23 year old nail artist from the Rhondda Cyon Taff. As a Miss Earth Wales finalist, I am passionate about making a positive impact through both beauty and animal care. I am a beauty business owner, and one of the things I love most is helping women feel confident, empowered, and beautiful in themselves.

Being able to boost someone’s self-esteem and watch their confidence grow is incredibly rewarding to me. From having conversations such as ‘I’ve started dating someone’ or ‘I’m pregnant’ to ‘I’m getting married next week’ or ‘the baby is 4 months old’, this job allows me to share in some of the most personal and meaningful milestones in people’s lives. Being trusted to support, guide, and celebrate alongside them makes the role incredibly rewarding and constantly reminds me of the impact I can have on others.

Alongside my beauty career, I have recently completed my Foundation Degree in Animal Studies. Topics including conservation biology, anthrozoology and animal welfare have opened my eyes to how our planet has changed due to human impact. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, ever since I was 11 years old, I dreamed of becoming a veterinary surgeon. Over time, I discovered that veterinary nursing is a path that suits my personality and it is something I hope to pursue in the future. I have previously worked in a veterinary practice as a Veterinary Care Assistant and currently volunteer in a cattery, which allows me to continue caring for animals and giving back.

Growing up, I was always happiest outdoors, usually wearing my pink wellies and matching tracksuit while exploring nature. That love for the outdoors has stayed with me throughout my life and continues to inspire my appreciation for the environment and the world around us.

I am ambitious in everything I do, and I truly believe my family have been the guiding light behind my journey. I am fortunate to have incredible role models in my life. I aspire to be as caring as my mum and as hardworking as my dad. Their support and values have shaped me into the determined and compassionate person I am today. Through this, I want to inspire young women to see that you can embrace glamour while still getting your hands dirty. Real change often starts with one person taking action, so go for the walk, pick up the litter, and never be afraid to use your voice.
