On Sunday 26th May 2024 at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry, a new court of Miss Earth Wales Queens were crowned.
Results are as follows:
Miss Earth Wales 2024- Grace Gavigan
Miss Earth Wales Air 2024- Sarann John
Miss Earth Wales Water 2024- Megan Evans
Miss Earth Wales Fire 2024- Georgia Grace Williams
Grave Gavigan, 18, a student from Port Talbot took away the title of Miss Earth Wales 2024 and will be representing Wales at Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Grace is a long time standing volunteer for the Wildlife Trust and has aspirations to become a lawyer with a focus on environmental legislation. During her spare time, Grace is busy delivering and promoting her Pollinator Pathways community project as well as educating young people about how to deal with Eco Anxiety.
The selection committee for the competition included Maria Torres (CEO of Galaxy Pageants) , Sharon Gaffka (Miss International UK 2018) , Layla Doherty Davy (Miss Earth Ireland 2023), Charlotte Brooke( Miss Earth England 2017), Bee Mutamba ( Miss Dimond Ireland 2021), Chloe Hayden (Miss Voluptuous Wales 2024), Emma Franklin (Miss Earth Wales 2011) and Charlotte Hitchman (Miss Earth Wales 2016).
The finalists raised a staggering £2622 for A-Sisterhood, that will be split between Wildlife SOS and The Black Mumbas Anti Poaching Unit. The winner of Miss Earth Wales 2024 will be joining the A-Sisterhood team on their annual trip to India to see the incredible work that Wildlife SOS do.
